TL;DR
Sales Development Representative (Foodservice): Lead initial prospect outreach and conduct comprehensive needs assessments with key decision makers in independent operator restaurants to fill sales pipelines with qualified opportunities. Focus on high-volume outbound calling, lead qualification, market research, and appointment setting for sales teams.
Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid). We are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

What you will do
- Proactively identify, research, and prioritize leads through inbound, outbound prospecting, and online research to create new business opportunities.
- Conduct at least 50 outbound calls daily with 60 minutes of talk time, qualify leads, assess needs, and nurture them through the sales funnel.
- Perform digital portal walk-throughs, gather information, and maintain records in Salesforce CRM; leverage Gong for self-improvement.
- Schedule meetings and demos for sales teams, provide detailed prospect information, and meet or exceed monthly quotas.
- Build relationships with prospects and customers, identify expansion opportunities, and close Manufacturer Appreciation Program business.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams; report on lead generation metrics.
Requirements
- Some sales prospecting, outbound inside sales experience ideally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with restaurant industry professionals.
- Confidence in speaking to customers, understanding challenges, and presenting solutions.
- Post-secondary education in business or equivalent sales experience.
- Basic understanding of web-based platforms, Microsoft Suite, and CRM software like Salesforce.
- Comfortable with high-volume daily calls, resilient self-starter motivated by competitive compensation.

- Familiarity with foodservice industry, distribution, and manufacturing.

- Ability to overcome sales objections using proven techniques.
