TL;DR

Inside Sales Representative (Foodservice): Lead initial prospect outreach and conduct comprehensive needs assessments with key decision makers in independent operator restaurants to fill sales pipelines with qualified opportunities. Focus on high-volume outbound calling, lead qualification, nurturing prospects through the sales funnel, and appointment setting for sales teams.

Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid). We are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

What you will do

  • Proactively identify, research, and prioritize leads through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, and online research to create new business opportunities.
  • Conduct at least 50 outbound calls daily with 60 minutes of talk time, qualify leads, assess needs and pain points, and perform digital portal walk-throughs.
  • Nurture cold leads, progress them through the sales funnel, close Manufacturer Appreciation Program business, and identify expansion opportunities with existing customers.
  • Schedule meetings, demos, or calls with qualified leads for sales teams, providing detailed handoff information.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM, leverage Gong for self-improvement, and report on lead generation metrics.
  • Build relationships with prospects and customers, collaborate across teams, and develop expertise in foodservice industry and platform solutions.

Requirements

  • Some sales prospecting, quota-bearing, outbound inside sales experience ideally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with restaurant industry professionals.
  • Confidence in speaking to customers, understanding challenges, presenting solutions, and overcoming objections.
  • Post-secondary education in business or equivalent sales/business experience.
  • Basic understanding of web-based platforms and Microsoft Suite; familiarity with CRM like Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen, value-based selling, resilience, and ability to meet high-volume daily sales calls and quotas.
