Accounting Analyst (Finance)

TL;DR

Accounting Analyst (Finance): Supporting accounting operations in Brazil and reporting to the regional hub in Mexico and HQ in the US with an accent on compliance with local GAAP (BRGAAP), IFRS, and US GAAP. Focus on monthly closing, account reconciliations, SOX controls, and coordinating external audits.

What you will do

• Perform and review balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations within strict deadlines.
• Manage accounting for fixed assets, depreciation, leasing, provisions, and direct taxes.
• Execute cut-off controls, gross billing confirmations, and FX updates in HFM.
• Post and review journal entries for income tax, SG&A, and accruals.
• Support internal and external (Big4) audits, including SOX testing.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Treasury, Payroll, and Inventory functions to drive process automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CRC license (mandatory in Brazil).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in retail or multinational companies.
• Expertise in BRGAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP standards.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, HFM, OneSource Tax, and BlackLine.
• English: Intermediate level mandatory; Portuguese: Fluent.
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot, Macros).
