Accounting Analyst (Banking)

What you will do

• Support the setup and implementation of accounting guidelines for new banking products.
• Develop accounting policy and procedure manuals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general accounting records.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Oversee account reconciliations, integrations, and information preparation for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with IT, Operations, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and other departments on accounting accuracy and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or Banking and Finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in banking or regulatory accounting within banks.
• Deep knowledge of NIFs and CNBV accounting criteria applicable to commercial banks.
• Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
• Intermediate to advanced English required for reporting or internal communication.
• Conversational Spanish required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting internal or external audits.
• Familiarity with loan portfolio and treasury accounting.
• Interest in automation, digital tools, or accounting process optimization.
• Curiosity about regulatory frameworks and banking operations.
