TL;DR
Human Resources Generalist (HR Operations): Managing the day-to-day employee lifecycle and HR administrative processes with an accent on onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and systems management. Focus on executing high-volume administrative tasks, owning the I-9 compliance process, and optimizing HR workflows for a growing organization.
Location: Hybrid (Cambridge, MA, USA) — averaging ~3 days/week onsite based on need

What you will do
- Execute end-to-end pre-boarding and onboarding processes, including IT coordination and systems access setup.
- Manage offboarding administration and process HR actions such as transfers, internal role changes, and terminations.
- Handle immigration paperwork and coordinate with external counsel or vendors on active cases.
- Administer benefits tasks and provide leave administration support.
- Manage the HR team inbox, serving as the first point of contact for employees and managers.
- Own the end-to-end I-9 compliance process, including Section 2 verification and E-Verify submissions.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of HR experience with a focus on HR operations, administration, or coordination.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of accurate, high-volume administrative work.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be local to the Cambridge, MA area and able to work in a hybrid setup.
Nice to have
- Experience with HiBob, ADP, or Greenhouse (ATS).
- Direct experience administering the I-9 process.
- Experience with process documentation and flow documents.
- Familiarity with immigration processes and vendor coordination.
