Salary: $70,000 – $104,000

What you will do
- Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and ensure compliance with federal regulations, including Form I-9 verifications.
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Own day-to-day office operations, including facilities management, supplies, and shared space guidelines.
- Build and manage the vendor ecosystem for security, catering, IT/AV, and facilities maintenance.
- Develop scalable workplace systems, procurement workflows, and office documentation to reduce friction.
- Manage workplace budgets and identify high-ROI investments to improve the employee environment.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in People operations, office management, or workplace operations, ideally in a fast-paced startup.
- Must be based in San Mateo, CA (or within approximately 50 miles) to support hybrid and on-site operations.
- Strong operational rigor, attention to detail, and a track record of delivering complex, deadline-driven projects.
- Fluency in vendor and budget management, including contract negotiation.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and a willingness to leverage AI tools for workflow automation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

- Experience leading or supporting an office relocation process.
- Experience scaling a workplace from early-stage (<100 employees) to growth phase (100-300+).
- Exposure to facility safety, emergency planning, or ergonomic programs.
