What you will do

• Design and build applied AI systems, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered features.
• Instrument and evaluate model outputs rigorously to define evaluation frameworks and mitigate hallucinations.
• Own the MLOps lifecycle, including model deployment, monitoring, latency optimization, and cost management.
• Contribute across the backend and frontend to ship complete, user-facing AI products.
• Partner with product and design to frame problems and determine technical tradeoffs between prompting and fine-tuning.
• Stay current on research regarding transformers, diffusion architectures, and emerging agent patterns.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered systems and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Strong technical depth in system design, architecture, and identifying failure modes.
• Expertise in model evaluation, including reasoning about overfitting and bias-variance tradeoffs.
• Production MLOps experience with monitoring pipelines in live environments.
• Solid full-stack fundamentals to build end-to-end AI products.
• Must be based in New York, NY for a hybrid work arrangement (3 days per week in-office).

Nice to have

• Experience fine-tuning foundation models.
• Familiarity with AI safety considerations and guardrail frameworks.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom orchestration frameworks.
• Background in SaaS or product analytics environments.
