What you will do

• Execute end-to-end billing operations, including invoice generation, collections, and AR management.
• Manage the order-to-cash cycle in partnership with the Deal Desk to ensure contract accuracy.
• Perform revenue recognition based on ASC 606, specifically for consumption-based revenue models.
• Prepare deferred and unbilled revenue schedules and execute month-end close activities.
• Automate billing workflows using AI and modern tooling to enhance scalability.
• Lead audit readiness efforts and prepare documentation for the company's first financial audit.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience in billing and revenue accounting.
• Active CPA certification is required.
• Solid knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP revenue principles.
• Hands-on experience with billing and payment systems, with Stripe strongly preferred.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in New York.
• Data fluency and ability to work with large datasets to diagnose billing issues.

• Big Four or public accounting background.
• Experience at a high-growth SaaS startup.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Experience with CPQ, CRM, or customer support tools like Zendesk or Intercom.
