What you will do

  • Assemble engines, turbomachinery, and component hardware.
  • Perform leak checks and AVI checkouts on engine hardware.
  • Disassemble and inspect tested engines, providing engineering insight into hardware condition.
  • Develop work instructions and recommend changes to improve build quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Inspect peer builds, assist with support tooling development, and improve daily operations.
  • Safely operate high-pressure pneumatic, cryogenic, and fuel systems while communicating with engineers and teammates.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience assembling complex hardware.
  • Experience with rocket engines, turbomachinery, aircraft engines, complex component assembly, or testing pneumatic and cryogenic systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions and troubleshoot complex equipment.
  • Understanding of LOx and helium system and component cleanliness requirements.
  • Experience working with both large and small, fragile assemblies in evolving processes.
  • Must meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A&P license.
  • Military experience in fixed-wing or rotor-wing maintenance.
