Senior Frontend Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Austin, Texas; onsite only. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Remote work is not available, and relocation support is not offered.

What you will do

• Build and maintain low-latency, real-time interfaces for controlling autonomous cars and delivery robots.
• Architect React applications integrating live video feeds, real-time maps, and interactive navigation and remote-assistance controls.
• Optimize operator workflows with keyboard interactions, high-resolution layouts, and fast feedback loops.
• Collaborate with backend, robotics, and UX teams to shape reliable APIs and user flows.
• Deliver responsive tools that support autonomous vehicle operations under challenging edge conditions.

Requirements

• Strong React and TypeScript skills with experience building fast, maintainable applications.
• Experience or a strong mindset for real-time systems, including live data, streaming video, or similar interfaces.
• Strong understanding of interface design, frontend performance, and debugging slow or unresponsive UIs.
• System-level thinking and the ability to write frontend code that remains reliable under load.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebRTC, low-latency video, or socket-based architectures.
• Familiarity with telemetry, maps, robotics, or vehicle systems.
• Basic Python or Go skills for debugging backend issues.
