Salary Range: $163,900-$215,000

What you will do

• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders for maximal impact on systems and automation.
• Partner with enterprise leadership to champion process improvements while maintaining mortality expectations.
• Champion data-driven underwriting practices and lead efforts on new technologies for automation.
• Provide guidance on development, testing, and implementation of AI tools and predictive models.
• Identify solution areas, develop workflows, create pilot and rollout plans, and establish monitoring metrics.
• Monitor industry developments in AI initiatives with Competitive Intelligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in Life Underwriting.
• Experience leading special projects, including underwriting automation systems.
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, including presenting to executive leadership.
• Ability to develop strategy and execution plans.
• Strong ability to partner with internal and external teams.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, underwriting processes, and regulatory environment.

Nice to have

• Experience or continuing education related to machine learning and artificial intelligence.
