TL;DR

Manager, Project Development (Renewable Energy): Leading the development of wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the Central region with an accent on the full project lifecycle from siting to commercial operation. Focus on managing permitting, interconnection, EPC engagement, and project financing.

Location: Must be based near one of the company offices in San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, Denver, or Princeton

Salary: $134,000 - $190,000 USD

What you will do

  • Manage the development of large-scale renewable energy projects from initial proposal and siting through to construction.
  • Negotiate critical project contracts, including PPAs, GIAs, equipment supply agreements, and EPC contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence on development-stage projects and portfolio acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate site layouts, technology options, and interconnection applications.
  • Lead projects through financing diligence to secure cash equity, tax equity, and project debt.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules while navigating internal stage-gate reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, finance, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the U.S. renewable energy industry with direct experience in utility-scale solar and/or wind projects.
  • Proven experience in land development, landowner engagement, title resolution, and GIS.
  • Knowledge of governmental mandates and environmental regulations in MISO, ERCOT, and SPP markets.
  • Ability to travel more than 25% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; the company will not sponsor non-immigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).

Nice to have

  • Advanced study in business, finance, law, environmental science, or public policy.
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems.
