TL;DR
Account Director (SLED): Managing and growing State, Local, and Education (SLED) customer accounts and driving new business acquisition within the Midwest US region with an accent on cybersecurity solutions and C-Suite engagement. Focus on building multi-level stakeholder relationships, executing complex sales cycles, and expanding market share in the public sector.
Location: Remote (US). Must reside in the Midwest region (ideally IL, OH, MI, WI, MN, MO, IN, IA, KS, or NE) and be able to travel up to 50%.
Salary: $123,000 - $184,000

What you will do
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities via outreach, referrals, and channel partnerships.
- Lead discovery conversations to align cybersecurity solutions with client needs.
- Manage existing customer relationships to drive renewals, upsells, and cross-sells.
- Execute full sales cycles from qualification and proposal development to closing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and prevent churn.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline data in Salesforce and Clari.
Requirements
- 8+ years of quota-carrying software sales experience.
- 4+ years of experience selling in the SLED market to the C-Suite.
- Experience selling to Midwest public sector accounts required.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for senior executive levels.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Slack.
