What you will do

• Own and deliver ad sales performance for Japan, meeting revenue, growth and profitability targets.
• Develop and execute Japan market sales strategy aligned with APAC priorities.
• Cultivate relationships with key clients, agencies and partners; lead negotiations and customized solutions.
• Manage sales team, foster collaboration with marketing, branded content and product teams.
• Forecast revenue, analyze data, report to APAC leadership and ensure compliance with BBC standards.

Requirements

• Fluent Japanese and English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Extensive experience in senior advertising sales roles within media, digital or publishing.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese advertising market, agencies, clients and cultural practices.
• Proven ability to develop market-level strategies aligned to regional/global frameworks.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, relationship management and organizational skills.
• Experience in matrixed international organizations; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related.
