Salary: $130,000 – $155,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems and features supporting laboratory operations (LIMS).
• Develop and optimize backend services and APIs using Python and/or Java.
• Implement solutions using various database technologies, including relational and graph databases.
• Take ownership of deploying and maintaining services in an AWS cloud environment.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Java.
• Proven experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with version control (Github, Bitbucket) and CI/CD concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with web frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Docker, graph databases, or NoSQL technologies.
