TL;DR
Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python/Medtech): Designing and developing critical backend services for an automated diagnosis tool with an accent on architectural decisions and end-to-end product lifecycle. Salary: $165,000 – $220,000

is developing the world’s first comprehensive, automated diagnosis tool to streamline clinical and revenue cycle efforts in healthcare.
What you will do
- Design and develop critical backend services from ideation through deployment and iteration.
- Drive architectural decisions and lead major projects to ensure engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to balance speed to market with technical quality.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews across backend services.
- Own system design, observability, testing, and performance for owned backend services.
- Participate in on-call operational support, monitoring, and production support.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Python for writing production-quality code.
- Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
- Based in or able to relocate to the New York City metro area, San Francisco Bay Area, or Los Angeles.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes and AWS services.
- Background in enterprise SaaS or high-growth startup environments.
- Experience in health technology.
- Experience with OpenAI services.
