TL;DR

Team Lead Business Development Representative (Sales/Manufacturing): Driving pipeline growth through proactive prospecting and providing operational leadership to a small BDR team with an accent on mentoring and AI-driven outreach. Focus on scaling lead qualification processes, optimizing CRM workflows, and aligning BDR efforts with global sales objectives.

Location: Reston, VA, USA. Must be based in the United States (EST) or EMEA (CET)

What you will do

  • Prospect and qualify new business opportunities via calls, emails, and social outreach.
  • Achieve individual pipeline targets while coaching and supporting a small team of BDRs.
  • Provide day-to-day operational guidance and serve as the first point of contact for team escalations.
  • Analyze performance metrics to provide actionable feedback and improve team results.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align outreach strategies and optimize lead handoff.
  • Leverage AI-driven tools and CRM systems like Salesforce and HubSpot to optimize prospecting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development or inside sales within the software or technology sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
  • Ability to work within EST (for US employees) or CET (for EMEA employees) time zones.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry or familiarity with CPQ software.
  • Previous experience in a player-coach or informal leadership role.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven sales tools and data-driven prospecting strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with Outreach and ZoomInfo/Dealfront.
