Location: Remote (any location). Must be admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

What you will do
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including client services, vendor contracts, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead privacy law compliance (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), integrating data protection standards into infrastructure and processes.
- Manage the end-to-end process for responding to subpoenas, law enforcement requests, and regulatory inquiries.
- Provide strategic legal advice to the People team on employment law, hiring practices, and employee relations.
- Offer guidance on financial regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and cryptocurrency-specific legislation.
- Monitor international legal developments to support global expansion and analyze the impact of foreign regulations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 4–6 years of legal experience, with a significant portion in an in-house environment at high-growth companies.
- Proven track record in commercial drafting, privacy law, and navigating financial or fintech regulations.
- Direct experience managing subpoenas and government requests.
- Experience navigating international law and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
