What you will do

• Maintain and update standard costs in the ERP, ensuring bills of materials are accurate and overhead is correctly allocated.
• Oversee inventory costing and variance analysis (purchase price, usage, and labor efficiency) and coordinate inventory counts.
• Prepare and analyze Gross Margin reports by unit sales, connecting cost movements to margin outcomes.
• Manage month-end close tasks, including complex account reconciliations for inventory, WIP, and warranty reserves.
• Develop and implement financial controls and efficient accounting procedures to improve costing and margin analysis.
• Support annual audits by preparing working papers and facilitating data collection for auditors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting.
• Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or hardware+SaaS environment, with knowledge of WIP and COS.
• Proven ability to build standard costing models and analyze variances at component and labor levels.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP-based costing and inventory modules.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under strict deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting analysis to stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CPA designation or progress toward obtaining it.
• Professional experience specifically in the manufacturing or technology industries.
• Experience with Epicor ERP, specifically BAQ reporting or similar query tools.
• Experience working in multi-entity environments with intercompany inventory movements.
