Salary: $168,200 - $252,200 CAD

What you will do

• Lead the design and deployment of ML, forecasting, and GenAI solutions for financial planning and analysis.
• Partner with Finance leadership to translate business questions into rigorous data science problems.
• Build scalable data science infrastructure and production-grade ML systems from the ground up.
• Determine optimal modeling approaches (traditional ML vs. GenAI) and design evaluation experiments.
• Mentor team members and elevate the technical bar for forecasting and optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to seamlessly deploy models into production.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a data scientist, with 5+ years in time series forecasting, anomaly detection, or optimization.
• MS/Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, and the data science ecosystem (PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn).
• Demonstrated experience building Agentic Workflows and implementing RAG architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, or related functions with data science solutions.
• Experience building and deploying MCPs.
