What you will do

• Own the technical architecture for IPC services, balancing speed of delivery with long-term maintainability.
• Design and operate backend services using Python, Go, and a Java-based Drools rules engine.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives to plan and execute integration work across the platform.
• Drive platform capabilities to scale for new carrier onboardings and product launches.
• Mentor engineers through code and design reviews to raise the technical bar.
• Ensure production reliability by defining SLOs and sharing on-call responsibility.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional backend software development experience at a Senior or Staff level.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python; Java experience is a plus.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design (Protocol Buffers, OpenAPI).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify used for employment eligibility).
• Proven daily practice with agentic AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
