What you will do

• Design and build distributed microservice components for a data-intensive calculation engine.
• Scale Java-based calculation engines to 100x larger workloads using time series analytics database technologies.
• Drive decisions on scaling strategies, considering data consistency, throughput, speed, operability, and cost.
• Profile and improve system efficiency within a highly concurrent platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, F-1/OPT).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Java, Python, SQL, SQS, relational databases, and key-value stores.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Linux.

Nice to have

• Linux proficiency, basic shell scripting, and a solid grasp of systems level programming.
