What you will do

• Plan and execute the volunteer program for integrated Hospice and Home Health agencies.
• Lead recruitment, screening, and retention efforts to maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for the Volunteer Program.
• Coordinate the Volunteer Training Program and assign volunteers to patient care, clerical, and community education roles.
• Ensure all volunteers are oriented and trained in compliance with CHAP and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with management to integrate volunteer participation across all aspects of the hospice program.

Requirements

• BA in Healthcare Social Sciences, a related field, or comparable experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience in healthcare, preferably within a Hospice environment.
• 2+ years of experience working with volunteer programs (preferred).
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• Familiarity with principles related to death and dying and commitment to Hospice philosophy.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Livonia, Michigan for hybrid office attendance.
