Sales Engineer II (Direct Contractor in Latin America)

TL;DR

Sales Engineer II (SaaS Supply Chain): Provide technical pre-sales support for labeling, barcode, and RFID traceability solutions with an accent on product demonstrations, solution proposals, and addressing customer pain points. Focus on securing technical closes, collaborating with sales and partners, and evangelizing BarTender platform across LATAM.

Location: Remote from LATAM (Brazil preferred), must be within one hour’s drive of a major airport, 50-70% travel within Central/South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Candidates must be located in LATAM.

What you will do

• Provide in-depth technical assistance and product demonstrations during pre-sales discussions with customers and partners.
• Secure the technical close in complex solutions and act as the main pre-sales technical interface.
• Collaborate with sales reps, Professional Services, and Marketing to develop leads and propose solutions addressing customer requirements.
• Evangelize BarTender labeling and track & trace solutions (50/50 split).
• Gather customer business and technical details for statements of work and update CRM records.
• Travel up to 70% within LATAM region including Central/South America, Mexico, and Caribbean.

Requirements

• Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
• Minimum 3-4 years in customer-facing technical presentation/demonstration roles.
• Minimum 2 years in SaaS/software pre-sales technical capacity.
• Familiarity with direct sales, value-added sales, and/or distribution channels.
• Experience with GS1 and/or RAIN RFID; knowledge of Windows printing architecture.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications; ability to travel 70% in LATAM.
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; work authorization in country of residence.

Nice to have

• Process analysis, design, engineering, project management, or consulting experience.
• CRM applications, order entry software, databases, networking, ERP/WMS/MRP.
• Scripting languages (VBScript, Python, Perl), XML, JSON, YAML, web interfaces.
