What you will do

  • Lead the design team across product and brand, providing direction and support for senior autonomous designers.
  • Drive 0-to-1 product thinking in ambiguous spaces to define and translate problems into buildable product directions.
  • Lead research, experimentation, and proof-of-concepts to explore the future of developer tools.
  • Partner with leadership and engineering to make strategic and granular product decisions.
  • Shape the company's external presence, including the website and initial developer onboarding experience.
  • Scale the design team by hiring top talent and maintaining a high quality bar.

Requirements

  • Technical background (Computer Science or similar) combined with a designer's identity and instincts.
  • Deep experience specifically designing for developer tools.
  • Proven track record of prototyping and shipping independent side projects.
  • Ability to write code and a strong intuition for the AI and developer tooling market.
  • Experience leading senior, autonomous teams without micromanagement.
  • Must be based in EMEA or US East Coast.

  • Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma.
