What you will do

• Execute transactional underwriting, manage complex appeals, and resolve medical impairment inquiries.
• Lead Post Issue Audits (PIA), manage MIB reporting, and ensure strict adherence to carrier and regulatory guidelines.
• Review application accuracy and manage claim status changes within the Admin Portal.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for carrier inquiries and manage data vendor audits.
• Collaborate with the CX team on feature requests and test Gen-AI tools to improve operational response times.
• Maintain travel advisories and monitor OFAC watchlists to support general operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in underwriting within the Insurance or Financial Services sector.
• Deep technical knowledge of FCRA, OFAC, MIB coding, and medical impairment risk evaluation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with underwriting workbooks and Admin Portals.
• Ability to draft legally compliant correspondence and manage high-level relationships with external carriers and reinsurers.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (Employment eligibility verified via E-Verify).
