What you will do

• Develop and manage a profitable book of middle- to large-market E&S Excess Casualty business, specifically General Liability and Commercial Automobile.
• Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with established guidelines, authority levels, and referral processes.
• Cultivate and expand strong relationships with appointed wholesale brokerage partners.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Claims, Loss Control, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to support underwriting outcomes.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform underwriting strategy and decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Wholesale E&S Casualty underwriting experience.
• Solid expertise in General Liability and Commercial Automobile lines.
• Must be based in Chicago, IL (Hybrid setup).
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
