TL;DR

Underwriter Associate (Insurance): Analyzing, pricing, and negotiating Professional Liability, Technology E&O, and Cyber/Privacy insurance policies with an accent on risk assessment and broker relationship management. Location: Hybrid (Chicago or Atlanta). Requires two (2) days in the office weekly.

Salary: $55,000–$72,000

• Underwrite, analyze, price, and negotiate renewal accounts based on company strategy and risk quality.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with regional brokers and internal underwriting teams across the US.

• Handle broker inquiries and provide fast, definitive answers to ensure exemplary customer service.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with brokers and customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Must be based in or able to work from the Chicago or Atlanta offices.
• Desire to continuously increase product knowledge and underwriting expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience underwriting small business (Commercial insurance) accounts in a volume environment.
• Experience handling complex customer transactions within a call-center operation.
