What you will do

• Explore and invest in new growth and commercial opportunities in collaboration with business lines and corporate strategy.
• Manage strategic assets and relationships to create information flow and opportunities for internal business lines.
• Execute the systematic divestment of assets to maximize financial returns.
• Conduct market structure and microstructure analysis to inform investment decisions.
• Source and vet a pipeline of new investment opportunities.
• Manage external strategic assets, board relationships, and internal stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (MBA or CFA strongly preferred).
• At least 7 years of financial industry experience, preferably in venture capital, private equity, or asset management.
• Expertise in financial modeling, due diligence, and term sheet negotiation.
• Deep knowledge of public and private markets.
• Experience with corporate, industry consortium, or not-for-profit board roles.
• Location: Chicago is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring and managing analyst-level teams.
• Knowledge of internal CME organizational structure.
• Proficiency with AI tools and Python.
