What you will do

  • Lead system design and architecture for large-scale financial automation features to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain features with a strong focus on frontend (approx. 70% React/NextJS) and backend (approx. 30% of the stack).
  • Break down high-level requirements into well-defined development tasks and lead effort estimation.
  • Mentor and coach team members while elevating coding standards through rigorous code reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage expectations, priorities, and project schedules.
  • Take an active role in production operations, including on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Canada.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Developer.
  • Strong expertise in building modern, scalable frontend applications using React and/or NextJS.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and Design Systems at scale.
  • Proven experience deploying scalable applications on AWS or GCP.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kotlin, Java, or NodeJS, including designing and maintaining APIs and services.
