Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Building new features and improving the ScriptRunner for Confluence Cloud product with an accent on serverless applications and Atlassian platform integration. Focus on designing scalable distributed systems, implementing business logic, and maintaining product health through monitoring and debugging.

Location: Remote-first, but candidates must be GTA-based (Greater Toronto Area) to accommodate occasional in-person needs in the Toronto office.

What you will do

• Research and design features within the constraints of Atlassian’s Connect and Forge platforms.
• Implement business logic and create unit, integration, and performance tests for serverless applications.
• Develop automated build and deployment plans using CI/CD.
• Monitor services, analyze logs and metrics, and respond to live incidents to maintain product health.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, peer code reviews, and pairing programming sessions.

Requirements

• Fluency with at least one backend programming language (Java, Python, or PHP).
• Fluency with a frontend JavaScript/TypeScript framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Understanding of high-availability, fault-tolerant, scalable, and distributed systems.
• Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD and AWS services.
• Understanding of serverless and microservices architecture with REST APIs.
• Ability to think innovatively and creatively.
