Government Solutions Consultant (GovTech)

TL;DR

Government Solutions Consultant (GovTech): Designing and promoting benefit-eligibility solutions for federal and state government clients with an accent on SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF programs. Focus on architecting technical solutions, translating requirements for product development, and leading technical responses for RFPs.

Location: Must be based in the Western United States (Fully Remote)

Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 plus approximately 30% incentive compensation

What you will do

• Lead customer demonstrations and present technical collateral to federal and state government clients.
• Architect solutions that address the missions of government agencies regarding benefit eligibility.
• Serve as a Product SME for API, Batch, and Applicant Portals, ensuring technical feasibility of solutions.
• Lead technical responses for RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs, defining win themes and discriminators.
• Act as a liaison between proposal teams, product engineering, and post-sales implementation teams.
• Identify gaps in product offerings and collaborate with product teams to develop closure plans.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with state and federal government agencies (specifically SNAP, Medicaid, or other means-tested social service programs).
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Experience in solutions consulting or sales roles.

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with SNAP and/or Medicaid eligibility processes.
• Prior experience in Government or Open Banking sectors.
• Understanding of technical configurations of state eligibility systems, API implementation, and batch processing.
• Experience working within highly-regulated environments.
