Industry Partnerships & Business Development Assistant (Engineering)

Industry Partnerships & Business Development Assistant (Engineering): Coordinating and developing engineering placement programs for employers with an accent on partner outreach and event management. Focus on expanding the Co-op employer network and executing industry-student engagement events.

Location: Hybrid (Must be able to work on campus at hirify.global)

Salary: $4,739.00 - $5,102.00 CAD Monthly

What you will do

• Research and identify potential national and international employers and government agencies for the Applied Science Co-op program.
• Promote the program to employers via in-person, telephone, email, and video meetings.
• Coordinate and execute major student/industry events, including planning, booking, and day-of management.
• Manage mass email communications using Mailchimp and produce branding materials via Canva and Adobe InDesign.
• Maintain internal databases of contacts and communication histories and generate reports.
• Coordinate student interviews and post co-op job opportunities.

Requirements

• High School graduation plus a two-year post-secondary diploma.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to work on campus for events and meetings, including some flexible evening hours.
• Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Co-op or marketing.
• Knowledge of engineering disciplines.
• Business development or sales experience.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe InDesign or Canva.
