Electrical Designer/Engineer (Revit/AutoCAD)

Location: On-site in Houston, Texas, USA. Travel is less than 10%.

What you will do

• Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Design lighting, electrical, and fire alarm systems for apartment buildings, commercial spaces, hospitals, educational facilities, and other building types.
• Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment.
• Edit electrical system specifications and review equipment submittals for compliance with contract documents.
• Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components.
• Observe electrical construction work and collaborate with project team members and leaders.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a similar field.
• At least 3 years of experience designing electrical systems for different facility types.
• Experience with commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation or performance simulation software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, prioritize shifting deadlines, and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients.
