Design Engineer (AV)

Location: Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, California, Arizona, or Washington, USA

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year

hirify.global designs and builds audiovisual and media technology environments for corporate, entertainment, sports, retail, government, and other clients.

What you will do

• Design complete audiovisual systems, including signal flows, schematics, rack layouts, and networked AV solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Create and validate bills of materials aligned with project scope and budget.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, architects, and clients to refine design requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and quality checks, coordinate revisions, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support installation, commissioning, system validation, and troubleshooting of design-related issues.

Requirements

• Ability to work in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, California, Arizona, or Washington, USA.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of AV or media design engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and integration practices.
• Knowledge of unified communications and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms.
• Strong technical documentation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron or Extron.
