Senior Data Scientist (Operations Strategy)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; support is required for a 24/7/365 operation, including weekends and holidays.

What you will do

• Formulate and deploy causal models, time-series forecasts, econometric models, and mathematical optimization solutions.
• Perform error analysis and improve model performance for large-scale predictions.
• Collect, clean, and organize structured and unstructured datasets; identify variability drivers and develop production features.
• Create business intelligence visualizations that translate complex findings into actionable insights for technical and non-technical executive leaders.
• Research emerging analytical tools and technologies to improve model accuracy and team efficiency.
• Lead and mentor interns, co-ops, associate-level data scientists, analysts, and engineers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science; a doctoral degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of applied experience designing, developing, and deploying analytical models.
• Expert-level SQL, Python, and R skills, with proficiency in data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning platforms such as AzureML, and mathematical optimization.
• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong conceptual thinking, creative problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring abilities in an Agile or continuous improvement environment.
• Willingness to support a 24/7/365 operation, including peak demand periods, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in high-volume consumer environments such as hospitality, retail, or entertainment.
• Doctoral degree in a relevant analytical or technical discipline.
