Data Scientist II (Gen AI/Python/AWS/SQL)

Base salary: $80,630–$165,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop proof-of-concept applications, analytical solutions, predictive models, and generative AI and machine learning solutions.
• Integrate and transform large volumes of data from DB2, SQL Server, Teradata, APIs, and other internal and external sources.
• Build modeling-ready datasets through validation, reconciliation, feature engineering, aggregation, and complex SQL queries.
• Build automated analytics pipelines using Python, APIs, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms, and help operationalize AI/ML solutions in production.
• Create visualizations and communicate actionable, business-friendly insights to senior leaders and business partners.
• Mentor associate and junior data scientists while collaborating with product owners, engineers, data architects, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 4+ years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.
• Python proficiency required, including automation, APIs, file I/O, database integrations, and scalable solution development.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, plus strong SQL skills for complex queries, data exploration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of statistical inference, regression, feature selection, feature extraction, machine learning algorithms, data visualization, and data engineering.
• Strong communication, project management, business acumen, and ability to influence senior leaders while managing multiple initiatives.
