What you will do

• Develop detailed assembly sequences and layout process steps.
• Execute line balancing studies to optimize station cycle times and meet production targets.
• Manage and perform engineering line trials to ensure rapid implementation with minimal disruption.
• Provide critical feedback during design reviews to improve manufacturability, tool access, and ergonomics.
• Act as the primary technical contact for troubleshooting complex design, process, and quality issues.
• Maintain accurate step-by-step assembly guides using tools like Dozuki or Oxygen.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or automotive OEM environments.
• Proficiency in 3DX, CATIA, and Delmia for virtual builds and process planning.
• Deep understanding of GD&T, dimensional variance analysis, and metrology.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, 8D Problem Solving, and MODAPTS.
• Location: Must work on-site in Hayward, CA

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.
• Experience with Closure Systems (Doors, Glazings, and Dynamic Sealing Systems).
