R&D Firmware Engineer 3 (Fibre Channel/NVMe): Designing, developing, debugging and testing embedded firmware for state-of-the-art 64G FC/NVMe HBA products with an accent on firmware design, implementation, testing, target-mode and error-recovery support. Focus on working with protocol analyzers for FC, NVMe and PCIe, and developing high-performance ARM-based firmware.

Location: USA-CA Irvine Alton Parkway Bldg 1 (Onsite, Full time)

Salary: $91,000 - $146,000 annual base

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug and test embedded firmware for cutting-edge networking and networked-storage products.
• Implement firmware features for 64G FC/NVMe HBA products including target-mode and error-recovery support.
• Execute test cases, create test scripts and support development initiatives for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites to support custom firmware features.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering + 5+ years related experience, or MS + 3+ years.
• Embedded-firmware development experience with C/Assembly programming.
• Proficiency in real-time OS environment and protocol analyzers for FC, NVMe and/or PCIe.
• Solid debugging skills, preferably with In-Circuit Emulation (ICE) debuggers.
• Experience with storage and network protocol development in Linux environment.
• Excellent communication, documentation skills and ability to follow software development processes.
