What you will do

• Design real-time embedded system software for complex control systems in specialized machines.
• Develop requirements, code, test, and document firmware for digital, analog, RF, power, and motion control.
• Collaborate on hardware/software integration and participate in design and code reviews.
• Resolve product issues through problem evaluation, code modifications, and development testing.
• Create product enhancements with an emphasis on system-wide benefit and risk impact.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering policies and standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with embedded software or firmware in a product development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) with C++ and/or C in an embedded development environment.
• Experience with embedded Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.
• Experience with Yocto Project/OpenEmbedded for Linux system development.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization for US.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience in Linux kernel development.
• Domain expertise in motor control, smartcard technology, RFID, or laser control.
• Knowledge of security concepts including encryption, PKI, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Proficiency using AI tools for code generation, analysis, and documentation.
