What you will do

• Underwrite complex new and renewal Marine Cargo accounts, including international and domestic transit.
• Analyze loss histories and collaborate with actuarial partners for technically sound pricing decisions.
• Manage a Marine Cargo pipeline and cultivate relationships with retail and wholesale brokers across the U.S.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters to support their professional development.
• Partner with Claims teams to analyze loss drivers and refine overall underwriting strategy.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of complex retail and wholesale Inland Marine underwriting experience.
• Must have US Work Authorization (no sponsorship provided now or in the future).
• Expertise in Marine Cargo policy structures and broker manuscript forms.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage and negotiate complex cargo risks.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
