TL;DR

Staff Consultant - HR Generalist (Employee Relations) (HR): Managing the full employee lifecycle and partnering with business leaders to drive workforce engagement with an accent on employee relations and legal compliance. Focus on conflict resolution, performance management, and translating people insights into actionable business recommendations.

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in-office per week) in New York City, New York, USA

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Gross

A global Digital Product Engineering company specializing in building products, services, and experiences with a non-hierarchical culture.

What you will do

  • Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, performance management, career development, and offboarding.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and support culture-building programs.
  • Partner with COEs (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits) to deliver HR programs.
  • Provide HR insights and data to leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a senior generalist role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to management and align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Must be based in New York City to support the hybrid working model.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or professional certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR.
