TL;DR

Legal Counsel - Media: Support video and advertising businesses, intellectual property management, commercial contracting, and emerging digital asset initiatives including non-custodial crypto products with an accent on media, content, and compliance. Focus on drafting/reviewing/negotiating commercial agreements, providing practical legal advice on IP, marketing, content risk, and regulatory compliance.

Location: Washington D.C., Sarasota, Miami, New York. Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required. Ability to travel occasionally to office locations.

Annual Compensation Range: $110,000 - $150,000 USD base + benefits + equity

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, services, talent, licensing, NDA, and technology contracts.
• Provide legal advice on intellectual property, marketing, content, risk, compliance, and privacy matters.
• Review campaigns and materials for legal/regulatory compliance in advertising, social media, rights, and clearances.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Content, Sales, HR, Finance, Tech, and Product teams to align legal guidance with business goals.
• Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and processes for efficiency.
• Support legal/compliance operations including matter management, document management, and internal training.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of legal experience, mix of in-house and law firm preferred.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience in media, entertainment, or digital content including advertising, content production, talent agreements, licensing, or digital platforms.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Ability to obtain additional in-house authorization.
