What you will do
- Lead go-to-market plan for IBM Software, identifying opportunities in partners and emerging markets.
- Expand existing partner relationships and recruit new strategic prospects with value-based solutions.
- Build collaborative relationships with IBM stakeholders and negotiate to align goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, product, and operations teams for consistent partner value.
- Engage directly with partners and resellers to tailor IBM Software solutions to their challenges.
- Champion Xvantage platform for efficient partner interactions.
Requirements
- 8+ years in sales, account management, or category/vendor development (tech/distribution preferred).
- Proven track record exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong solution selling, business development, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Territory and partner planning, strategic thinking, data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in forecasting, pipeline management, financial analysis.
- Comfort with ambiguity, multiple priorities, up to 40% travel.
- Passion for technology, partner success, continuous learning.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent.
- Experience selling IT solutions.
- Familiarity with systems or IT distribution channels.
