Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK) - office based two days per week
Salary: £64,000 - £70,700

What you will do
- Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of risk-based internal audits across business areas.
- Manage and develop a small team of internal auditors, providing coaching and professional growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, risk owners, and governance forums including the Board of Trustees.
- Develop and maintain a rolling audit plan aligned with organizational priorities and strategic risks.
- Contribute to the development of assurance frameworks and integrate data analytics into audit practices.
Requirements
- Substantial experience leading internal audits in complex or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of internal audit, risk management, and control frameworks.
- Proven people management skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Professional audit qualification: CMIIA, CIA, ACA, or ACCA.
- Must be based in or able to commute to the Manchester office at least two days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience working within the education sector.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Ofqual’s Conditions of Recognition.
