What you will do
- Design and enhance the global compliance framework, policies, and internal controls for a scaling multi-entity organization.
- Oversee compliance with corporate, commercial, and employment laws across the U.S., Canada, and EMEA.
- Lead internal investigations regarding the code of conduct, regulatory concerns, or whistleblower complaints.
- Support board-level governance, reporting, and readiness for financing due diligences and certification audits.
- Advise on global data privacy compliance, including GDPR and CCPA, and coordinate cross-border regulatory matters.
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for leadership and employees to promote a culture of accountability.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
- Strong background in corporate compliance, regulatory matters, and managing programs in scaling organizations.
- Proven experience leading internal investigations and exercising strong business judgment.
- Member of the Quebec bar.
- Must be based in Montreal, Canada to support the hybrid work model.
