What you will do

  • Design and enhance the global compliance framework, policies, and internal controls for a scaling multi-entity organization.
  • Oversee compliance with corporate, commercial, and employment laws across the U.S., Canada, and EMEA.
  • Lead internal investigations regarding the code of conduct, regulatory concerns, or whistleblower complaints.
  • Support board-level governance, reporting, and readiness for financing due diligences and certification audits.
  • Advise on global data privacy compliance, including GDPR and CCPA, and coordinate cross-border regulatory matters.
  • Develop and implement compliance training programs for leadership and employees to promote a culture of accountability.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment.
  • Strong background in corporate compliance, regulatory matters, and managing programs in scaling organizations.
  • Proven experience leading internal investigations and exercising strong business judgment.
  • Member of the Quebec bar.
  • Must be based in Montreal, Canada to support the hybrid work model.
