What you will do
- Act as a commercial lead supporting business development in developing strategies for growth and competitiveness.
- Serve as the primary focal point for internal and external customers regarding contractual matters.
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies and participate in contract negotiations with customers.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts and amendments in close collaboration with legal counsel.
- Provide guidance on compliance with terms and conditions and identify appropriate flow-downs for subcontractors.
- Identify potential contractual liabilities and risks, producing mitigation plans in coordination with legal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in contract management.
- Proven experience in complex negotiations.
- Strong understanding of Canada Standard Acquisition Clauses and Conditions and contract law principles.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance.
- Eligible to obtain a Level I (Secret) security clearance.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in using AI tools and techniques to improve contract management and decision-making.
- Experience operating in a lead supervisory capacity within commercial teams.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
