Legal Counsel (SaaS)

Location: Must be based in Canada (Remote)

Salary: $130,000 – $165,000 per year + bonus

What you will do

• Negotiate and execute complex growth-impacting deals with large global customers and partners.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Finance, HR, and GRC teams to manage compliance and risk.
• Act as a subject matter expert for customer contract negotiations and vendor portfolio optimization.
• Provide counsel on general corporate matters, including global employment relations.
• Support research and product expansion initiatives as the company scales beyond North America.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Law Society of British Columbia.
• 4 to 7 years of post-call experience.
• Proven experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer.
• Strong track record of negotiating complex contracts independently.
• Ability to handle multiple closings in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS technology or cross-border transactions.
• Knowledge of technology M&A.
• Familiarity with international privacy and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, EU AI Act).
