What you will do
- Define and own the multi-year technical vision and strategy for Analytics Engineering.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Senior Analytics Engineers, fostering a growth-oriented culture.
- Manage senior stakeholders (Director/VP level) across Product, Finance, Sales, and Marketing to align goals and manage trade-offs.
- Champion a product mindset for data, ensuring assets have clear ownership, measurable quality, and discoverability.
- Oversee the reliability, scalability, and accuracy of the data estate using Snowflake, DBT, and Fivetran.
- Establish and continuously improve data governance, quality standards, and shared business metrics.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading teams of senior engineers and scaling analytics engineering groups.
- Deep expertise in modern analytics engineering tools, specifically DBT, Snowflake, and Fivetran.
- Proven senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Strong product mindset applied to data assets, focusing on consumers and quality.
- Working knowledge of semantic layers (dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, or LookML).
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to improve productivity.
