What you will do

• Lead NPI activities, including process development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
• Troubleshoot existing product lines using root cause analysis (8D, Fishbone, DMAIC).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and improve reliability.
• Train operators and technicians on new manufacturing processes and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Proven expertise in NPI, lean manufacturing, and SPC.
• U.S. Citizenship is strictly required due to national security contractual obligations.
• Ability to pass a United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background screen.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 75% during the first 90 days.

Nice to have

• Experience with precision instrumentation or test and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of low-noise, high-bandwidth electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with process automation, fixture design, and CAD tools (SolidWorks).
